Patrick H. Freeman is the feature writer for the Buffalo Criterion newspaper and a seasoned sports broadcaster with 29 years of experience. He now shares his expertise to help young broadcasters master the art of the interview. Over the last 30 years, Patrick has covered the NFL’s Buffalo Bills, attended 25 Super Bowls, and reported on a variety of NBA, college, and high school athletic events.

His acclaimed talk show, The Message, aired from 1994 to 2008 and inspired him to write the insightful book, The Art of the Interview: Book 1. His latest book, Maximizing the Big Game, provides strategies for maximizing opportunities while covering championship contests.

Dr. Patrick H. Freeman has received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Eye on History and Black Achievers in Industry awards. A life member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., he also holds the distinguished title of District Deputy Grand Master (Emeritus) of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of New York. In 2006, he was elevated to the 33rd and last degree of Masonry by the United Supreme Council Northern Jurisdiction (PHA).

In addition to his journalistic and broadcasting achievements, Dr. Freeman is a member of the Pro Football Writers Association of America, an ordained minister in the Universal Life Church, and the founder of Artesian Development LLC, specializing in residential development and rehabilitation. He is also the co-founder of ATL Philly’s The Best Steak Sandwich in Atlanta, a food truck serving the Atlanta metro area since 2022.

For his outstanding contributions in these and other fields, Dr. Freeman was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Global Oved Dei Seminary & University (GODSU) in 2020.
