Beauty and the Beast on Trial
Not since the OJ Simpson trial in the 1990’s has there been more media attention on a black man. The so-called Diddy trial is in its third week, and the world is watching. The Hip Hop billionaire mogul is facing life in prison for Racketeering under the R.I.C.O. Act, Sex trafficking by force, and transportation to engage in prostitution. For me the media coverage is both titillating and entertaining.
Every morning, I find myself tuning into YouTube to watch the Breakfast Club podcast, to get the latest unbiased update on the trial. Like most I went into this trial expecting a mountain of evidence against the legendary mogul, with all sorts of heinous crimes considering the lengths the government has gone in pursuit of him. SWAT team raids on his homes and the denial of bail by the courts, and it seemed to be all predicated on the infamous Hotel hallway altercation he had with his girlfriend Cassie Ventura.
From the reported testimony I've heard so far, if his charge is first degree felonious “Super freakiness,” then his butt is going to jail the rest of his life. However, no one has heard a single shred of evidence of R.I .C.O. racketeering or sex trafficking by force. That is not only me, but there are also many other media pundits observing the same thing. Cassie Ventura’s testimony, the “innocent earth angel,” who the prosecution is painting as a helpless captive victim of an evil beast, who had her mind controlled so well that she would allow other men to rain down golden showers on her at the so called “Freak off” sessions that she arranged, organized and paid for. She testified under oath to that.
I find much of this case is biased against Diddy. Why and how is Cassie even in the case? That video of the so-called brutal beating in the hotel hallway 11 years ago seems to be the predicate for the entire case, yet Diddy is not being charged with domestic abuse against her, and she received 25 million dollars to settle the case. Yet, she is allowed to testify to put a man in jail for life. Certainly, the hotel altercation was disturbing, but I did not see pummeling fisticuffs or life threating brutality that the media has “Jedi mind tricked” the public into believing. Did you know Cassie was sexting with Diddy the next day after that hallway altercation? Shouldn’t she have to give back the 25 million if Diddy goes to jail?
In my opinion, this trial is a sham, and Diddy could very well be acquitted. The evidence shows the government has been wiretapping Combs’ phones since 2014, just to find a crime to bring down the billionaire Bad Boy. There is a good chance Diddy could be acquitted, but he will wear the scarlet letter “S,” for superfreak on his chest the rest of his life.
